How to Buy Word of Mouth
Everyone knows that word of mouth has grown into a muscular beast. According to recent surveys by Duke University and American Marketing Association, it’s become the most influential piece of the buying process.
The secret to tapping into this powerful marketing force lies in the “Personal Experience Factor” – the mental scorecard customers unconsciously use to measure a business. If you want to raise the needle on the “Who Cares?” meter high enough to get customers to talk about your advertisers, you’ve got to show them how to improve the Personal Experience Factor. And Mike Dandridge will show you how.
In our session, Mike will reveal the 3 triggers for sparking a word-of-mouth reaction. These aren’t lofty concepts from Harvard Business Review publications. These are field-tested strategies that Mike learned from real world experiences in wholesale and retail management.
Mike Dandridge ran an electrical supply house in a rural central Texas town.
Life was good.
Then Home Depot and Lowe's moved in on either side of the small business; both had well-stocked electrical departments. Both had well-funded marketing budgets.
Mike wanted to fight back, but had limited resources. By trial and error, Mike discovered how to use word of mouth to grow his small business from annual sales of 3 million dollars to more than 12 million dollars.
In his presentation, he’ll tell you exactly how he did it and how you can apply the same ideas to differentiate any business.
Five years ago, Mike left the supply house and became a partner in the marketing firm, Wizard of Ads. He specializes in showing small businesses how to craft a better Personal Experience Factor.
This session will have a profound effect on those of you who want to improve the "personal experience factor” within your client’s business, as well as your own.
